SUMMER RECREATION PROGRAM June 06, 2013 The summer recreation program for children 5 - 12 years will begin Monday July 8 and run for 7 weeks, ending August 23. Times are 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Monday - Friday. Located at Jonah Howe Park at the corner of Boon St. and Vanderkemp Ave. The program is free for children of village residents. Outside village residents will be charged a fee. Sign up dates and times will be announced at a later date.
SUMMER RECREATION SIGN UPS June 06, 2013 Sign ups for the Summer Recreation Program will be held on Monday June 24, 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm at the Jonah Howe Park Pavilion. Children living outside the village will be charged a $40 fee. The program is limited to ages 5 - 12. For any questions please contact Carol Hameline at 896-6735.
VILLAGE TAX COLLECTION May 28, 2013 Village taxes will be collected at the Village Office, 8520 Old Poland Rd., Barneveld, Tuesdays 11 am - 4:30 pm and Thursdays 11 am - 4:30 pm, from June 1 until and including July 1, 2013 without penalty. Beginning July 2, a 5% penalty will be added for the first month and an additional 1% on each month or fraction thereof until paid, or until the return of unpaid taxes to the County Finance Officer on or about September 15, 2013.

TREASURER'S REPORT AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION August 16, 2012 Pursuant to Village Law, the Treasurer's Report of the Village of Barneveld for the fiscal year June 1, 2011 to May 31, 2012 is on file at the office of the Village Clerk, where it is available for inspection by all interested persons.
VILLAGE WEBSITE WINS AWARD October 27, 2011 The village website recently won the 2011 Digital Towpath Innovation Award for its historical information containing a written history of the village and several early photographs and postcards. Along with early photographs of village buildings visitors can also view how certain buildings look now. Various maps dating back to 1793 are also included. The website was recognized as being a historic resource for genealogists, historians or others interested in the history of our village. The Webmaster, Village Clerk Anita Adam, welcomes any additional photographs or other items of historic interest that could be included on the website. Items do not have to be donated to the village. Paper documents can be scanned and returned to the owner.
OPEN BURNING OF GREEN WASTE AND OTHER RUBBISH PROHIBITED October 18, 2011 As per State Law, the burning of leaves, branches and other rubbish is prohibited within the boundaries of the village, and will be strictly enforced. Branches up to 6 feet in length and leaves may be dropped off at the Town of Trenton Recycling Center during normal operating hours.
2010 CENSUS INFORMATION AVAILABLE September 08, 2011 The 2010 census information for the village has been released from the US Census Bureau. The report is available to view under Demographics.
VILLAGE DOG CONTROL LAW October 22, 2009 The Village Board adopted a Dog Control Law in 1994, and amended in 2004, which prohibits dogs from running at large and from habitual barking. For a copy of the law please see the website section "Laws" or call the Village Office. All violations of this law should be reported to the Animal Control Officer, Robert Jones, at 732-8744 or to the Village Office at 896-4514.
VILLAGE ADOPTS PARK SMOKE FREE POLICY October 01, 2009 At the September 8, 2009 regular meeting of the Village Board of Trustees a Smoke Free Policy was adopted for Jonah Howe Park. The policy can be viewed under "Parks and Recreation" then "Jonah Howe Park."
STORMWATER REPORT AVAILABLE ON VILLAGE WEBSITE October 10, 2008 The Stormwater Report for the village has recently been completed by the Oneida County Soil & Water Conservation District and a copy is available on our website.
